This holiday season the Central Iowa APA chapter is proud to adopt two families from The Heart Connection, an organization for families with children who have cancer. 

Thanks in part to our sponsors, the chapter will be purchasing $400 in gift cards for each family.  The gift cards will be for gas and groceries, as well as cards for Wal-Mart and Target.  We would also like to purchase gifts for the children and are asking our members to help out.  Please consider purchasing an item or two on the list below for the children.  You can bring it to the December 2 meeting or contact Barbara Craig to arrange pick up.

If you want to get involved, please contact Barbara at communitydev@centraliowaapa.org PRIOR to making any purchases.  She is keeping a list of items purchased to make sure all children receive gifts.

Remember:

• Obtain a gift receipt, if possible
• You may be able to get a discount if you mention you are purchasing a gift for The Heart Connection (might want to speak with a store manager first).
• Gift wrap is optional.  The chapter will be wrapping all items after the December meeting.
• Please label your purchase with the child’s name.
• Your purchase may be considered a tax deduction to The Heart Connection.
